To set up the TP-Link AC1750 Smart WiFi Router (Archer A7), follow these steps:
1. Connect the hardware:
- If your internet connection is through an Ethernet cable directly from the wall, connect the Ethernet cable to the router's Internet port.
- Install the antennas.
- Turn off the modem and remove the backup battery (if applicable).
- Connect the modem to the router's Internet port using an Ethernet cable.
- Turn on the modem and wait for it to restart.
- Connect the power adapter to the router and turn it on.
- Verify that the Power, 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and Internet LEDs are solid.
2. Configure the router:
- Method One: Via TP-Link Tether App
- Download the Tether app on your smartphone.
- Connect your smartphone to the router using the default wireless network name (SSID) and password printed on the router's label.
- Launch the Tether app and select Archer C7 from the local device list.
- Create a login password and follow the steps to connect to the internet.
- Register the TP-Link Cloud service for remote management and more functions.
- Method Two: Via Web Browser
- Connect your device to the router (wired or wireless).
- Launch a web browser and enter "http://tplinkwifi.net" or "http://192.168.0.1" in the address bar.
- Create a login password and click "Let's Get Started".
- Follow the step-by-step instructions to set up the internet connection and register the TP-Link Cloud service.
3. Enjoy the internet:
- Once the setup is complete, you can start using the internet through the TP-Link AC1750 Smart WiFi Router (Archer A7).
