Based on the interim results of a clinical study, the BinaxNOW COVID-19 At Home Test has shown to correctly identify 91.7% of positive specimens and 100% of negative specimens when compared to an FDA authorized high sensitivity SARS-CoV-2 test. However, it is important to note that this is an antigen test and not as accurate as a PCR molecular test. The accuracy of the test may also depend on the viral load in your nasal passages. If you receive a positive result, it is highly likely that you have COVID-19. If you receive a negative result but still have symptoms, it is recommended to test again and consider getting a PCR test for confirmation.
