To clean the filters on the Shark Navigator Lift-Away Upright Vacuum, please follow these steps:
1. Regularly rinse and replace the filters to maintain your vacuum's suction power.
2. Remove the dust cup by sliding up the tabs on both sides of the dust cup handle and tilting it forward.
3. Press the lower release button to open the bottom of the dust cup.
4. Lift out the filters from the dust cup.
5. Rinse the pre-motor foam and felt filters under cold water only. DO NOT use soap.
6. Gently brush off any debris from the HEPA filter.
7. Allow all filters to air-dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinstalling them.
8. Once the filters are dry, place them back into the dust cup.
9. Reinstall the dust cup by aligning the bottom of the dust cup with the pod and tilting it until it clicks into place.
10. Make sure all filters are securely in place before using the vacuum again.
Note: It is important to clean the filters regularly to prevent liquid from being drawn into the electric parts of the vacuum. If the filters are damaged or worn out, they should be replaced. Replacement filters can be purchased from sharkaccessories.com.
