Cleaning the COSORI Smart 5.8-Quart Air Fryer is important for maintaining its performance and longevity. Here are the steps to clean the air fryer:
1. Unplug the air fryer and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Wipe the outside of the air fryer with a soft, damp cloth. You can use mild detergent if necessary.
3. Remove the baskets from the air fryer. The baskets are dishwasher safe, so you can wash them in the dishwasher. Alternatively, you can wash them with hot, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge.
4. For stubborn grease, you can create a paste by mixing 2 tablespoons of baking soda and 1 tablespoon of water. Spread the paste on the baskets and scrub with a sponge. Let it sit for 15 minutes before rinsing.
5. Clean the inside of the air fryer with a slightly moist, non-abrasive sponge or cloth. Do not immerse the air fryer in water.
6. Dry all parts thoroughly before using them again.
It is important to note that the heating coil should be dry before turning on the air fryer. Avoid using metal scouring pads or abrasive cleaning materials, as they can damage the nonstick coating of the baskets. Regular cleaning after each use will help maintain the performance and lifespan of your air fryer.
