To connect your Polk Signa S2 soundbar to your TV, you have a few options depending on the available ports on your TV. Here are the steps:
1. Check if your TV has an HDMI port labeled "ARC" (Audio Return Channel):
- If yes, connect the included HDMI cable to the HDMI ARC ports on both the TV and the soundbar.
- If no, proceed to the next step.
2. Connect using an optical cable:
- Connect an optical cable between the TV's optical output and the soundbar's optical input.
- Connect the included HDMI cable to any available HDMI port on the TV and to the "TV ARC" port on the soundbar.
Note: Both HDMI (ARC) and optical connections support Dolby 5.1 decoding.
3. Once the connections are made, plug in the power cords of the soundbar and the subwoofer to AC outlets.
4. Turn on your soundbar by pressing the Power button on the soundbar or the remote control.
5. Make sure to disable the TV's internal speakers to ensure audio is played through the soundbar.
