To program a remote to your Craftsman garage door opener, follow these steps:
1. Locate the "LEARN" button on the rear control panel of the opener.
2. Press the "LEARN" button. The courtesy light will illuminate with an audible click, indicating that the unit is ready to learn a remote.
3. Within 30 seconds, press the button on the remote that you want to program.
4. The courtesy light will flash twice, indicating that the remote has been stored successfully.
5. You can add up to 20 remotes, including keyless entry pad codes, by repeating the above steps.
6. If you try to add more than 20 remotes, the first stored remote will be replaced by the new one.
Note: If the courtesy light is already on, it will flash once and stay illuminated for 30 seconds. If a remote is not accepted, the courtesy light will stay on for 30 seconds, flash 4 times, and then stay on for 2-1/2 minutes. In this case, retry programming the remote by repeating the steps above.
