To change the default codes on your Schlage Keypad Lock, follow these steps:
1. Locate the Programming Code: The default Programming Code is a six-digit number and can be found on the sticker on the back of the keypad assembly and the front of the user guide.
2. Enter Programming Mode: Press and release the Schlage button on the keypad. The button will turn orange, indicating that the lock is in programming mode.
3. Enter the Programming Code: Enter the six-digit Programming Code using the keypad.
4. Change the User Codes: After entering the Programming Code, you can now change the User Codes. Each User Code is a four-digit number. To change a User Code, follow these steps:
a. Press the Schlage button.
b. Enter the four-digit User Code you want to change.
c. Press the Schlage button again.
d. Enter the new four-digit User Code you want to set.
e. Press the Schlage button one more time to confirm the new User Code.
5. Repeat Step 4 for each User Code you want to change.
6. Exit Programming Mode: To exit programming mode, press the Schlage button one more time. The button will turn green, indicating that the lock has exited programming mode.
