Cleaning the Instant Pot DUO Multi-Use Pressure Cooker is relatively simple. Here are the steps to follow:
1. After cooking, unplug the cooker and allow it to cool down before cleaning.
2. Remove the inner pot from the cooker base and wash it with hot water and dish soap. You can clean it by hand or use a sponge or brush to remove any food residue.
3. Wipe the outer surfaces of the inner pot and heating element to ensure they are dry and free of food debris.
4. If there are any stubborn stains or burnt food on the inner pot, you can soak it with a couple of tablespoons of baking soda and hot water overnight. This will often lift whatever is stuck.
5. Clean the sealing ring and sealing ring rack. Remove the sealing ring from behind the sealing ring rack and inspect it for any cuts or deformations. Wash it with hot water and dish soap. Ensure the sealing ring rack is centered in the lid and at an even height all the way around.
6. Clean the float valve and silicone cap. Remove the float valve from the top of the lid and detach the silicone cap from the bottom side of the float valve. Wash them with hot water and dish soap. Reinstall the float valve by dropping it into the float valve hole on top of the lid and attaching the silicone cap to the bottom of the float valve.
7. Clean the anti-block shield and steam release handle. Remove the anti-block shield by pressing it firmly against the side of the lid until it pops off the prongs underneath. Wash it with hot water and dish soap. Remove the steam release handle by pulling it up and off the steam release pipe. Wash it with hot water and dish soap. Reinstall both the anti-block shield and steam release handle by pressing them into place.
8. Clean the condensation collector. Align the grooves on the condensation collector over the tabs on the back of the cooker base and push it into place. After use, pull the condensation collector away from the cooker base and empty and rinse it.
9. Finally, wipe the exterior of the cooker with a damp cloth or sponge to remove any dirt or stains.
It's important to follow these cleaning instructions to ensure the longevity and proper functioning of your Instant Pot DUO Multi-Use Pressure Cooker. For more detailed information, you can refer to the user manual provided with the product.
