To defrost the freezer compartment in your Bosch fridge/freezer, follow these steps:
1. Remove all the frozen food from the freezer compartment and temporarily store it in a cool location.
2. Switch off the appliance by turning the temperature controller to position "0".
3. Pull out the mains plug or remove the fuse to ensure the appliance is completely disconnected from the power source.
4. Place a pan of hot water on a trivet inside the freezer compartment to accelerate the defrosting process. This will help melt the frost faster.
5. Use a cloth or sponge to wipe up any condensation that forms during the defrosting process.
6. Once the frost has melted, wipe the freezer compartment dry.
7. Switch the appliance back on by plugging it back in or turning on the fuse.
8. Put the frozen food back into the freezer compartment.
Note: It's important to avoid scraping off the hoarfrost or ice with a knife or pointed object, as this could damage the refrigerant tubes. Leaking refrigerant may ignite or cause eye injuries.
