To perform the BinaxNOW COVID-19 Antigen Self Test, follow these steps:
1. Open the test kit and ensure all components are at room temperature.
2. Take the nasal swab provided and insert it into one nostril, about 1 inch (2.5 cm) into the nostril.
3. Rotate the swab in a circular motion against the inside of the nostril for about 15 seconds.
4. Carefully remove the swab from the nostril and repeat the process with the same swab in the other nostril.
5. Open the extraction reagent bottle and hold it vertically. Add 6 drops of the extraction reagent to the top hole of the swab well.
6. Insert the swab into the test card through the bottom hole of the swab well. Push the swab upwards until the swab tip is visible through the top hole.
7. Rotate the swab 3 times clockwise within the test card.
8. Close the test card, bringing the extracted sample into contact with the test strip.
9. Wait for 15 minutes and then read the test results. Positive results will show two pink or purple lines, even if one line is faint. Negative results will show only one line in the control area.
10. Do not read the results after 30 minutes.
