To install the Honeywell T6 Pro Series Thermostat, follow these steps:
1. If using the optional cover plate, separate the Junction Box Adapter from the Cover Plate and mount the Adapter to the wall or electrical box using the provided screws. Attach the UWP by hanging it on the top hook of the Junction Box Adapter and snapping the bottom in place. Snap the Cover Plate onto the Junction Box Adapter.
2. If not using the optional cover plate, position the UWP on the wall, level it, and mark hole positions. Drill holes at the marked positions and insert the supplied wall anchors. Insert the wires through the wiring hole of the UWP.
3. Place the UWP over the wall anchors and tighten the mounting screws until the UWP no longer moves. Close the door.
4. Connect the R and C wires into the designated terminals for primary AC power. Insert AA batteries for primary or backup power.
5. Set the R Slider Tab based on the number of transformer systems you have. Set it to the up position (1 wire) if there is only one R wire connected to the R, Rc, or RH terminal. Set it to the down position (2 wires) if there is one wire connected to the R terminal and one wire connected to the Rc terminal.
6. Wire the thermostat according to the wiring terminal designations provided in the manual based on your system type (forced air, hydronics, heat pump, etc.).
7. Mount the thermostat by aligning the UWP with the thermostat and pushing gently until it snaps in place.
8. Turn the power on at the breaker box or switch.
